Designing boardgames is—if you ask me— one of the most varied and versatile things I do. It requires knowledge and expertise from many different areas: writing, designing, drawing, generating ideas and iterating them to create a working game, and even more.
But most importantly, it asks the very interesting question: why do people play games? Why does that provide joy, and how can I increase that pleasure? How do I get players to laugh, to cooperate, to shake because of the tension?
Below is a collection of my best board games (according to myself and my playgroups).
A complete list of board games can be found on this page on my blog: Bordspellen. As usual, everything about the boardgames is in Dutch. Sorry about that.
